Join us for a special worship service with Whosoever Ministry in celebration of Juneteenth.
This shared service is an opportunity for the GPCC and Whosoever communities to worship together, honor the significance of Juneteenth, and reflect on themes of freedom, equality, sisterhood, brotherhood, respect, and God’s love.
The service will be planned in partnership between Rev. Richard Yeager-Stiver and Rev. Massey, with leadership and participation from both congregations.
Who it’s for:
Everyone is welcome. This service is open to GPCC members, Whosoever Ministry, guests, visitors, and anyone who would like to worship with us.
What to expect:
This special worship service may include scripture, prayer, music, historical reflection on Juneteenth, poetry, and other worship elements led by members of both communities.
Following worship, everyone is invited to stay for a celebratory agape potluck feast in Fellowship Hall. Whosoever Ministry will provide food in their tradition, and GPCC members are invited to bring a dish to share as part of a classic GPCC potluck.
Good to know:
This service will begin at 11:00am instead of our usual 10:00am worship time. Please note the time change for this Sunday only.
